N Rosa Parks Kitchen

The 1970's era kitchen was tiny and poorly laid out with the refrigerator located in an adjacent closet. The design solution opened up a wall between the kitchen and dining room, claimed extra space from the existing chimney and a closet to expand the available space for the new combined kitchen / dining area. The opening between the dining room and the rest of the space was widened to further connect the kitchen to the rest of the home. The original decorative archway was carefully reproduced in the expanded opening preserving the character of the original. The new layout is open, functional, and bright.
