Asmund was hired to design and lead the construction of this 1 bedroom Accessory Dwelling Unit - garage conversion. The unit makes efficent use of the 375 SF space available inside the garage. Despite a tight budget the project feels remarkable with creative solutions that make it special. A heated concrete floor provides heat for the space, and extra thick walls add drama to the window openings and contain an extra thick layer of insulation. An efficient floor plan allows for a fully functional 1 bedroom apartment in a small space. The ADU was featured on the popular Accessory Dwellings Website and on the Apartment Therapy website.
